Support Ryleigh's Gluten Guard Dog

Ryleigh was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in 2016. Celiac Disease is an Autoimmune disease which causes Ryleigh’s body to see gluten (a protein found in wheat, rye and barley) as a poison.   Her body then attacks itself causing damage to her intestines.    When she has been exposed to gluten, she has to deal with fatigue, stomach pain, vomiting, diarrhea, rashes, inability to focus, hyperactivity, restlessness, emotional lability, anxiety, and gluten ataxia.  The long term risks to her being exposed to gluten are malnutrition, osteoporosis, infertility and lymphoma.  As she gets older her symptoms will continue to worsen with each accidental exposure to gluten.    The smallest amount of gluten left on a table at a restaurant, on a plate delivered to her, in a mislabeled box from the grocery store will cause  her to deal with symptoms for weeks.  Ryleigh has exhibited anxiety when it comes to eating anywhere outside of the home. We have decided that an amazing tool for our family to have to protect Ryleigh would be a gluten detecting dog.  
A gluten detecting dog will be able to alert us to the smallest amount of gluten that Ryleigh may come in contact with in her every day life.  This would give Ryleigh the confidence to attack each day head on, with less fear and anxiety.  This comes at a cost.  We are currently working with Creating New Tails, out of south Florida, to find the perfect fit for Ryleigh and our family.  We greatly appreciate any donations you are able to make and thank you for supporting our effort to keep Ryleigh safe and healthy.
