Why do I run? I run for Kelly...
Kelly is my "big sister". She is the reason I run, she is the one who inspires me to live everyday as if I don't have a tomorrow. Kelly was diagnosed in 2005 with Niemann-Pick Type C and her life changed ...my life changed. NPC is a rare fatal disease and from the day she was diagnosed I vowed to PERSEVERE and to fight this disease the only way I know how...to fundraise!
Fundraising for research, for hope for a cure, I run to see her smile!
I am running a half marathon in hopes of raising $1566. Why that amount? That is the number of days between our birthdays. I chose a number of significance to challenge myself and to push myself to do all I can to honor her. I love her very much and I am blessed to have her in my life. I look forward to seeing her after the race and celebrating her smile!
