Help Kevin Bacon and Rowdy Farms!

We are a modest farm which has been slinging fresh organic veggies for the third year. You may have noticed our sign along Linden Road, "Take what you need, Pay what you can." We have met many smiling faces and have been overjoyed to provide such quality home grown goods for the community. Our farm is home to chickens, ducks , goats, kittens,the friendly likes of "Blue" the Blue Heeler puppy, and as many of you may know Kevin Bacon the resident pig and wandering( against our approval) ambassador of Rowdy Farms.
Unfortunately, at the end of the growing season in 2015, we were met with the untimely demise of our well. I planned on doing most of the work myself to restore the unit to working function, but dumping hundred of dollars in myself and consulting with many professionals have discovered the only option ia an entire new well needs to be drilled and I simply do not have access to that kind of equipment or large sum of money. The loss of our well has not only put a strain on our harvest this year (which we were able to do thanks to some awesome people and neighbors providing services and water access) , and the ability to easily water the animals we have here on the farm. It has also pushed back our plans for this year of fencing in or should I say "Kevin proofing" the front half of our 4 acre property.
We have always appreciated the cohesive force amongst the community that brings everyone together. Rowdy Farms has maintained a business model that is aimed at the necessity of good local foods provided at an affordable price (pay what you can). From our candy-like cherry tomatoes to the tart heirloom apples, everything has been grown by and for the local community. It would mean the world to all of us here at Rowdy Farms if the generosity of the community could help to continue our modest little homestead!
