Honoring the Life of Ronnie J Francis

Ronald "Ronnie"James Francis was born on September 16, 1966 near Norfolk, VA and passed away from this earth in the early morning hours of Saturday, December 15, 2018 at St. John's Hospital in Tulsa, OK. He was surrounded by close friends, and his immediate family. Ronnie had battled chronic kidney disease and end stage liver failure, and was ready to go home to the Lord. We are comforted by the fact that he went on his terms, and was surrounded by so much love.
Ronnie grew up in east Tulsa in the 1970s and 1980s, during a time when we could run the neighborhoods freely and everyone was friends. We swam at the neighborhood pool, played sports, and made the deepest of friendships during those years. Ronnie never met a stranger and was a great friend to many. He graduated from East Central High School in 1985. He worked in the customer service industry before pursuing his lifelong ambition of training to be a chef. Prior to his illness, he was the events manager at the Renaissance Hotel in Tulsa.
Ronnie is survived by his wife of 13 years, Tiertia Francis, his daughter Lauren Elizabeth Rose Francis, his older sister and brother-in-law Christina and Arnett Jones, his baby sister Lisa Francis, uncles and cousins, and a host of friends he loved like brothers and sisters.
A celebration of Ronnie's life will be held on Thursday, December 20 at 12:30PM, at Arrow Heights Baptist Church in Broken Arrow with a reception immediately following where we invite friends to come share memories, and laugh and love. Please dress in casual attire, in bright colors. This is a celebration of our larger than life Ronnie! Refreshments will be served. The viewing is at Floral Haven on Wednesday, December 19, from 12:00 - 8:00 PM.
We would like to ask that in lieu of flowers, donations to this GoFundMe account be made instead. All donations will go to Tiertia Francis, to offset the costs of the funeral.
