Rocky's Big Fight

This campaing is for the benefit of Jake and Katie Porter (and big brother Lincoln) of Lehi, Utah. But the star of the day is the amazing Rockwell (Rocky) Porter. A fighter if ever we have seen one.
On January 7, 2017 Rockwell Don Porter made an unexpected six week early entrance into this world. Obviously much to the surprise of his parents. The night before his mother (Katie) was feeling off and had lost some blood. Thinking it was false labor, Jacob (father) and Katie went to Timpanogos Regional Hospital, Orem, Utah. They were informed had they waited even one more hour the outcome for both baby and mother
would have been a very different .
Katie suffered a placental abruption, which is a tear in the supply to the placenta. She lost a lot of blood which triggered a very agressive labor. The option for an emergency c-section was explored; however, the baby was too far down the birth canal. Due to his size, not much later the sweetest baby boy joined the world. Rocky lasted about 6 minutes without the need for air support. After stabilization and while being transferred to the NICU he crashed for about 4 minutes. Nurses rushed and got the little guy back. Since then, Rocky has been fighting various infections and has needed to be resuscitated 4 more times.
At this point the Porters are just waiting and praying for the little guy to come home.
As you might imagine, they will soon be facing a daunting NICU bill. The most imporant thing for them should be focusing on their small family. Helping Rocky to grow strong and healthy. The worry and stress of their financial obligations will rob Rocky from much needed energy.
We pray that you will find it in your heart to contribute. Any donations to this campaign will go directly to Jake and Katie to cover the expenses of caring for Rocky. Thus allowing these loving parents to give him everything he needs.
