ST. JOSEPH, Minn. -- Authorities are investigating a hit-and-run that killed a 5-year-old boy Monday afternoon.
According to St. Joseph Police Chief Joel Klein, the accident happened shortly after 3 p.m. in the 300 block of 1st Avenue Northwest.
Officers learned the boy had already been taken to medical facilities in St. Cloud. He was later pronounced dead at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Police say that it appears the boy was driven over by an unknown vehicle that had left the scene.
