5 Ironmans in 5 days!!

Before I started doing triathlon, I basically left everything unfinished- my art, goals, my prayers, relationships- everything. I was struggling physically to be healthy and maintain a healthy weight- my emotions and fears defined my life and who I was- it was overwhelming to feel like I didn't have a place- like no one saw me, including myself. In my mind, I was broken and weak. After years of struggling both physically, emotionally, and mentally, I found triathlon, and everything changed...it broke me- but in ways that built me back up at the same time. It was hard and mentally challenging, and it revealed how strong I was. Deep inside, it challenged me to persist even when it hurt, to keep going, but most of all, to trust in myself and my inner strength. Racing has taught me control over myself, and inevitably over every facet of my life. I have completed 7 half Ironmans, 2 full Ironmans, and 1 Anvil plus (1 1/2 IM). I have competed in endurance swims of 7.5 and 10kms, and have raced in 30 mile and 50 mile endurance trail runs. The more I raced, the better I became, the stronger I felt.

Coming from a 3rd world country, Guatemala, it was hard for me to see these things possible. Today, I represent my country. Guatemala, this is for you, for our dreams and achievements as a nation. Lets believe in ourselves and show the world we are nothing less.
GUATEMALA, tu nombre inmortal.

In 2015, I competed in the Gran Jaguar and finished as the 2nd overall female, and was 1st in my Age group. That same year, I finished 3rd in my Age Group at the Cozumel Half Ironman. In 2016, I started really pushing my limits in order to find them, and move past them. I completed my first 30 mile & 50 mile trail run, and competed in 3 half Ironmans in a matter of months. I qualified for the National Ironman Championship when I competed in the Half Ironman in Mallorca. To round out my season last year, I finished 3rd in my age group at the Cozumel Full Ironman.
For my 2017 season, I continue to push my limits and test my inner self- So far, I completed in the Anvil Plus and a 10 km swim. As a triathlete, you meet alot of great people who have like-minded goals. A friend introduced me to the idea of competing in the Swiss Ultra- and something inside of me sparked to life. 5 continuous Ironman distance triathlons? Most people would think that was just crazy- but for me, it's a goal I can't wait to tackle. For someone who felt like the weakest creature on earth, ultra racing has redefined what I am capable of, and when competing, I am most alive! I need your help though! In order to compete in the race, the travel there, and to race continuously for 5 days, I need a lot of financial assistance. As you can imagine, the travel to Switzerland is not cheap, and to support such a huge race, logistically I need all the help I can get! I need to raise $5,500.00 to allow me to do this race, and I have just a few short months to get it all together. Anything you could donate to my campaign would be much appreciated. This means a lot to me, and I sincerely need your help!
