Cam & AJ's time with their mom

On the day after Thanksgiving Rebecca Thompson had to deliver the most difficult message of her life to her only 2 sons, Andrew (AJ) Miller and Cameron Galey. At 46 she has just been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer which is one of the most aggressive and least curable types of cancer known. The average survival duration of patients with this horrible disease is only 1-2 years or up to 5 years maximum in some very rare cases.
Rebecca delivered the message like a champ, holding all of her emotions in while telling the boys the brutal truth of her medical condition. Hearts pumped, tears shed, and tight embraces took hold as the reality of her words sank in. 22-year-old AJ and 13-year-old Cameron would both have to live the majority of their lives without their mother.
As a single mom, Rebecca has not been afforded many opportunities to go on family fun-type traveling with AJ and Cam. Working full time, she has had only one unselfish goal in mind - "whatever it takes to make her boys happy". As her previous husband of ten years, partner in raising AJ, and Cameron's dad, I would like nothing else than to help Rebecca make her boys happy.
The goal of this campaign is to raise enough funds for Rebecca to take her boys on one last family trip with their mother before she leaves this earth. The destination has yet to be set, as I am sure her medical condition will be a deciding factor. The sooner we can raise the money, the sooner the trip can be decided and reserved. Extra funds will be first applied toward any balances of uninsured medical expenses and then split between the boys for their continued education.
