Rackliffe Family Fire Recovery Fund

Donation protected
My sister in law Ashley Rackliffe and her family lost their home to a fire June 9, 2016. She was home with 2 of her kids when the fire broke out.

It took approximately 50 firefighters from surrounding towns to put out the house fire.

The property is owned by Shane and Ashley Rackliffe with the couple living at the residence with their three children, ages 4, 4 and 5.

Ashley Rackliffe recently had surgery and was transported to Franklin Memorial Hospital by NorthStar EMS as a precaution.

In addition to Wilton and East Dixfield, responding towns included Livermore Falls, Jay, Farmington, Chesterville and Dixfield. The response had been a strong one, Dunham said, with approximately 50 firefighters at the scene with 13 pieces of equipment. These included Ladder 7, the Wilton quint truck which was used to cut a hole in the residence's roof, and Jay's Ladder 1, which was used to allow firefighters to pry apart the tin roofing to find and douse hot spots.

Wilton Police Department and NorthStar were also at the scene. Central Maine Power technicians cut the power to the residence.

A cause has not been determined as of Thursday evening, Dunham said. The State Fire Marshal's Office was on the scene, as is standard for most structure fires.

Ashley and her family lost everything to the house fire.

Ashley's wedding to Shane is only a few weeks away (July 16, 2016).  Ashley lost her wedding dress, the grooms & kids clothes and all the decorations for the wedding.
They are also still looking for their beloved cat.
