We've reached our FIRST goal!!!  WE DID IT!!!!
  On behalf of Young Noble Gentlemen (YNG), we would like to thank each of you for your generous "GOFUNDME" contributions.  Your financial contributions have helped us reach our FIRST goal. We are super excited about this awesome opportunity to travel to California and attend the Grammy Awards.  This is an opportunity of a life time!!! Thank you again for helping us!!!

Once we were notified that we had won 1st place in the contest, we immediately reached out to our family, friends and community for assistance in making this dream come true.  Your quick response has simply overwhelmed us. We are truly humbled by your support.  We asked you for the minimum amount that it would cost for us to cover the basic needs just to get there and you all came through for us.

 Please know that once we arrive in California, we will be presented with an abundance of networking opportunities that could catapult our music career to the next level.  Therefore, any funds that are raised over and above our minimal goal of $6,000, will afford us the financial backing needed to assist us in being able to take advantage of more opportunities to meet and network with established music industry individuals and groups.

 So please continue to donate towards helping us travel to the Grammy’s and be able to take advantage of any and all networking opportunities that may come our way through the meeting of MAJOR MUSIC COMPANIES, PRODUCERS, A&R's, and CELEBRITIES.

 Please be reminded that the money you donate will be used for:

* Air Line Tickets
* Hotel Accommodations
* Food
* Transportation within California
* Attending Networking Events
* Clothing

YNG will be collected donations until February 9, 2016.

_____________________________________________________________________________
Young Noble Gentlemen (YNG) is comprised of one R&B singer (Lee Reh, age 15) and one Hip Hop artist (Rahmene McDuffie, age 14).  Two different worlds never meant to meet; if not for the music. Lee Reh, the passionate vocalist whose voice was birthed in the confines of a refugee camp. And Rahmene, the lyrical rhythmist whose voice carried the struggle of growing up black in America. The moment Lee Reh and Rahmene met, it was clear their destinies were intertwined. Fighting against the odds, they formed YNG a group dedicated to sharing their message of resilience through music.

Listen to YNG message to struggling youth: “we’re going to make it”

That message has been heard locally and now has the chance to resonate on an international scale.

Both Lee Reh and Rahmene dream of being able to share their story with the world by using their musical talents. Going to California will give them the opportunity to pursue their dreams.

YNG NEEDS YOUR HELP to get them to California (for one week - February 11th-16th), they have won 1st place in a contest and an opportunity of a life time to meet with MAJOR MUSIC COMPANIES, PRODUCERS, A&R's, and CELEBRITIES. The money you donate will be used for:

* Air Line Tickets
* Hotel Accommodations
* Food
* Transportation within California
* Attending Networking Events
* Clothing

Just think about this, if 600 people donate as little as $10 each we will have reached our goal!

YNG will be collected donations until February 9, 2016.

Your donations have the ability to change these two young men's lives forever. This in turn can help them to change the lives or their families and their community. Help these young men in supporting their future and the future of Albany, New York's youth.

YNG thanks all of you in advance for your donations and wants to say a special thanks to Albany City School District, John Howe Public Library, and Frank Chapman Memorial Institute. Special thanks will be given to those who donate on our Facebook page.

Leeh Reh's Story:

Lee Reh is from a refugee camp in Thai-land. Lee Reh's family moved to the United States in 2009 because his parents wanted a better life for Lee Reh and his siblings, a better education, and a safer place to live. There are six people in his family and they now live in a two bedroom apartment in inner city Albany, New York. Both Lee Reh's father and mother work long hours cleaning linen at hotels in order to try to provide for the family. As a family they don’t have much, but do the best they can with what has been provided to them.

Lee Reh’s youngest memories go back to his father playing the guitar and family singing in house music. Lee Reh didn’t discover his musical ability until the age of 11, when he first took a risk at performing in front of an audience for his school’s talent show.  It was then when Lee Reh realized he wanted to pursue his musical ability.  Lee Reh brings creativity to YNG’s songs and performances.

According to Lee Reh, "I am working hard because I want to accomplish my goals and dreams. My dream is not to be the most famous person, it’s just to see my parents finally relax and not have to worry about bills and other things. I know that this may sound a bit cliché, but I would love to see the smile on my parents faces when I can afford to take care of them and not the other way around. Music has always been a positive influence on me. I’ve always used music as an outlet to my emotions and experiences. At times when I am frustrated with life, see my family struggling, or am having trouble with school I use the beat to soothe my soul, I use my pen to fill the pages of my music note book, or I turn to the mirror to practice my stage presents in order to be prepared for the day I make it. Instead of drinking or smoking (like some teens may age do), I turn up the volume on my head phones and let the music influence me."

Rahmene's Story:

Rahmene discovered Hip Hop and R&B through his father and was further encouraged by his peers to display his talents. With his lyrical ability and presence Rahmene brings confidence and delivery to YNG.

Rahmene lives in inner city Albany, NY with his mother, father, and brother. His parents work diligently to make sure Rahmene stays on the right path without falling victim to street violence, drugs, or negative influences. Rahmene is an honors student and immerses himself in music.

Rahmene is outgoing, energetic, and bring excitement to musical performances. He has the ability to capture audience’s attention while delivering positive messages. Rahmene's stage performance is undeniably captivating.
