Something I have been working on since Mason graduated high school. As I sat there watching all the seniors receive their scholarships, I thought to myself "We should have one too for our community...for our LGBT students especially for our transgender kids." That has been on my mind for the past 2 years. Now that we have progressed as an organization, its finally becoming a reality.
We have started the Robert Mason Scholarship Program in honor of my son. Through our fundraising efforts, we will be able to help one meritorious student by offering them a $500 scholarship towards their education. We will start this program during the 2018-2019 school year. Our application is in the works and will be available at the end of this school year. We encourage all eligible seniors to apply.
This makes me very proud and I hope we will be able to make an impact on one lucky student.
