Can music saves lives? We believe it can do more than just saves lives. It can create movement, reflect emotion, find closure, change perspective, motivate and inspire. This has been our mission from the beginning. Resistance 13 is our project.
WHO ARE WE?
We are a 5 piece rock/ metal band from Wheeling WV with a passion for music and people. For us, the entire project started as a way for us to give back to our community and the people around us. The area in which we live is economically depressed and a lot of the people within our area (The Ohio Valley) are broken and struggling, much like the rest of the world. We wanted to write music to give them hope and empower them.
WHAT ARE WE RAISING MONEY FOR?
We've done well in our area. We have a following of awesome positive people that we call family and those people have assisted us in our area with doing BIG things. We want to expand. We have reached a point where we are ready to transition from a local to a regional band however our means of transportation are restricting us. Right now we have the opportunity to obtain something really nice to get us from point A to B but we do not have the funds to do so.
WHAT WILL IT GO FOR?
The money you donate will go towards helping us purchase "Joy" the community center transit bus which belongs to a good friend of ours. SHE'S A BEAUTY! He has offered to give it to us for a great price. Money donated will go to the purchase of the bus and renovation to create sleeping/ living quarters for the five of us for when we travel and tour regionally and hopefully soon.. nationally! Without your help it will not be possible.
WHY IS IT SO IMPORTANT?
We have worked so hard to get to this point and it has been an uphill battle the entire way, We've spent entire days on foot selling CD's and merch in the hot sun and rain. We've sacrificed time with freinds and family, sometimes important events to be able to push a message of love and positivity to more people. We've spent hours on the road to play 30 minutes of music only to get home the next morning. Our dream is not to be able to say that we were great musicians or boast about the things we have achieved, our dream is to be able to know on the last day we spend on Earth that we did everything in our power to make it better for those who follow behind. This is why we have made those sacrifices. Our world needs this love that we speak of. Our children deserve to live in a better world than we live and everyone deserves to have a fair shot at an awesome life, sometimes all they need.. is a little encouragement. In closing I would like to state this as I feel it embodies and reflects us in our truest form.
Positivity breeds new life, generosity is infectious, and LOVE CONQUERS ALL!

EXTRA-WHAT HAVE WE DONE THUS FAR?
Our first full length album was a huge success. It sold over 1200 copies, had a number of positive reviews, was featured on a number of college, internet, and national radio stations and made it as far as Florida and Philadelphia. Our New EP, The Ocular Truth was released in Sept and has sold over 500 copies already in just a few short months. Our first professional music video (Little Sister) was released in July and since then has reached over 60,000 people, recieved close to 7,000 views and reached as far as Mexico and South Korea! We have also used our platform to find a way to give back to our local community. We have raised thousands of dollars for our local homeless coalition, cancer research (James Cancer Center/ Pelatonia), as well as other multiple local charities we have given to help local families in need.
