Pumba Needs New Eyes

Donation protected

At only 2 years old (next month) our precious little Boston Terrier Pumba has been diagnosed with Juvenile Cataracts in both of her eyes. For the time being, she can still partially see out of her left eye, but her right eye is almost completely blocked. Without treatment, she will soon become completely blind.

While there is no cure for cataracts, her vision may still be saved through surgery! The only thing is... the surgery is extremely expensive and our pet insurance will not cover any portion of the procedure. This is where we need your help!

Currently, Pumba is able to partially see but is beginning to run into things, fall off the couch when playing with her sister Pickles, and panic in low light situations causing her a great deal of anxiety. With such a loving and playful personality it is heartbreaking to know that she may never be able to see the beach, her sister, or all the people that love her again.

As most know, our dogs Pickles and Pumba, are the most important things in our lives and though we would do anything for our babies, the $5K cost (per eye) for the procedure is just not possible for us right now. We feel that if we can save at least one of her eyes, our little baby will go on to live a fun, happy and exciting life.

If you can find it in your heart to donate anything to help Pumba keep her sight, she and we will be forever grateful to help her SEE another day!

Thank you <3

- Love,
Alex, Ashley, Pickles, & Pumba
