Student Led Play: Of Mice and Men

My name is Gregor Patti, and I live in Jackson, Mississippi. I am 17 years old, but I have always thought of myself as an old soul, always wanting do things that the older kids did. I live by three philosophies: 1. Whatever you are, be a good one 2. Whatever you do, be passionate about it 3. Whatever you are passionate about, do more.   2 Years ago I was introduced to acting, and I immediately fell in love with it.  I had found my passion, and I intended on doing as much of it as I could.  I did every musical, drama, one act production I could make an audition for at my school, bought books on improving my craft, whatched youtube videos on tips for acting every night, and learned monologue after monologue. I kept wanting to push myself.  Now I have found a point in my acting career where I want to create for myself a new challenge: Direct a play.  As you can see, I want to direct a completely student lead production of "Of Mice and Men" at my school this summer, but as we all know, everything takes money: sets, lighting, licensing, costumes, venue.  And the money we will raise here will all go towards these things.  Also, any money raised and not used will go towards the creation of a scholarship fund for a drama student who shows a drive and passion for the arts.  Making this happen would mean the world to me,the crew, and actors involved.  We plan on having auditions in May, so having these funds by June 1st would be ideal, and make the production run a lot smoother.
