POPPS Nature Playground

Picture a place where kids can be kids. A special place where nature and creative exploration go hand in hand. A place where good old-fashioned dirt and water are available at all times. A place where kids can be pirates sailing the seven seas on a simulated sail boat or perform in a fairy rock band in our amphitheater. A place where digging for worms, catching bugs or observing butterflies collecting nectar from a plant is a common occurrence. It is our dream at Prince of Peace Preschool to have an outdoor classroom where our students can enjoy the wonders of the outdoors while taking advantage of the many benefits of playing in nature. Once the project is completed, we would like to have nature summer programing and a “pick me” garden. The garden will be cared for by our preschoolers and sunday school students. Congregation members and families will be encouraged to pick what they would like to eat or use the produce in our social ministries that feed the homeless. This dream can become a reality with your help. Over the summer it is our hope to be able to expand the playground and transform it into a Nature Playscape.
In order to complete the project, we need to raise $10,000. To date we have raised almost 50% of our goal. Please consider making a tax deductible donation of $150 or more, or whatever you feel comfortable with, to our school by using our Go Fund me account  or by simply writing a check to Prince of Peace Preschool. Please share this with friends and family, corporations etc.  A generous benefactor has agreed to match up to $1000 of money we raise! Donors who donate $200 or more will have a commemorative plaque with your family name incorporated into our playground. What a great way to leave a lasting mark on our school!
