Jane Freund's Medical/ Support Fund

This story feels like deja-vu-all-over-again (if you don't know me, you're about to experience my sense of humor so hang on).

WHO AM I: My name is Jane Freund and according to my Facebook short bio , I am an author, speaker, book coach and encourager who passionately pursues personal growth and good puns!

MY STORY: In late June of this year, I (AKA Me Jane) ended up in the emergency room with sudden blurriness in my left. eye. After several tests and two opthamologists, the results were known: brain tumor, stroke, and multiple screlosis were elmiinated and cataracts were diagnosed in both eyes. Just eight days ago (August 20), I shared that I was getting the surgery scheduled  for my left eye and I was VERY relieved.

Then life took another turn for me...

On August 21, I began experiencing shortness of breath and chest pains. By the next morning, I couldn't walk more than 20 feet without stopping. I went to the ER expecting heart attack but the doctors found that I had multiple blood clots in my lungs. I was told that if I had waited any longer that I wouldn't have needed to come in as I would have been dead. Didn't have to turn up the volume on that WAKE UP CALL as I heard it loud and clear!

I (Me Jane) spent the last week in the hospital and was released into three new realities:

1) I have new medical unexpected medical expense including high priced prescription drugs. The cost of the three day supply of one blood thinner was almost $500!

2) Because I am now on blood thinners, my cataract surgery has to be postponed for six months. Because the bluriness remains in my left eye until I am able to have the catacract surgery, I will have to make some adaptations to how I do my work as an author, speaker and book coach .

3) I will need to and have started making changes to my life to reduce the ikelihood of future health issues.

USE AND TIMING OF FUNDS RAISED: Any funds raised will be used to help cover the costs of these new realities. As the expenses are already coming in, donations are welcome as soon as possible.

Whatever amount you can give will be greatly appreciated and NO amount is too small!
