Shuttle for Elderly & Handicapped

Patriots Point Foundation is an all volunteer 501c3 that supports the Naval and Maritime Museum and National Medal of Honor Museum in Mount Pleasant, SC, Charleston Harbor. Patriots Point is home to the carrier Yorktown, Destroyer Laffey and Submarine Clamagore.
Please help us fund a new electric 6 seat shuttle to transport elderly and handicapped visitors to the elevator on the USS Yorktown. Each year we have thousands of visitors who are elderly, handicapped or otherwise in need of assistance to get from the ticket/parking area to the elevator on the Yorktown. Many are veterans; many are school aged.
The funds will be used immediately for a 6 seat electric vehicle like the one shown when Medal of Honor recipients were in town to visit. This will replace an aging vehicle and assure reliable transportation for years.
Your support will benefit not only our greatest generations, but countless other visitors who would have difficulty getting to the ship.
Over the past several months Patriots Point Foundation, with private and corporate donations, has helped to fund over $83,000 of new and upgraded exhibits, including a boiler room upgrade and holographic display on the USS Laffey and multi-media kiosk in The Vietnam Experience. These exhibits capture the interest of and inspire our youngsters. This is our first GoFundMe campaign.
