Aoife's Clown Doctors Paris Marathon Dad 2019
Donation protected
We are continuing in our efforts to support Aoife's Clown Doctors Ireland and this year as Aoife's Dad I'm taking on a big challenge to raise funds by running a marathon on the very day of my 50th birthday.
On April 14th 2019 The Paris Marathon takes place and it is the perfect place for us to go to bring little Aoife in our hearts, to the one place beyond Ireland she dreamed of visiting. One of Aoife's favourite films was the Anastasia story about the lost princess who makes her way back to Paris.
Our beautiful sweetheart daughter Aoife passed away back in August 2012, having just turned 5. She had only been diagnosed 4 months earlier with leukemia.
In 2014, as part of Aoife's legacy we set up Aoife's Clown Doctors Ireland as entertainers who go into the Children's Hospitals including Crumlin and Temple St Childrens' Hospitals in Dublin, to bring some fun and smiles to the families there.
The funds donated here will help us to continue to provide Clown Doctors for the children and families in these wards.'We know from our own experience of the fun Aoife had with the clowns, how humour can lift the day and bring a smile to even the most sick of children.'
