Help 12-year-old Brock with POTS
Donation protected
Hi everyone! My name is Kelsie Schmiess, and I have a 12-year-old cousin, Brock, who was recently diagnosed with POTS.
POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) is a rarely diagnosed and extremely life-altering illness; this means that Brock's blood vessels do not constrict, resulting in blood pooling in his feet and legs. This blood pooling causes chronic pain, rapid heartbeat, low blood pressure, fainting, and fatigue. For a 12-year-old boy, this means extremely limited school, minimal time with friends, and little-to-no physical activity.
The money that my team and I want to raise is going towards a 3 and a half week treatment program.
We would like to raise this money by the beginning of December 2016.
As much as I would love to reach this goal for Brock, I know hundreds of other people who would love to reach this goal for Brock also. Raising this money would not only mean the world to my family, friends, Brock, etc., but it would also go towards helping doctors understand POTS and how it alters the lives of those affected.
Any donation, big or small, is so appreciated and valued. Brock deserves this treatment to help him be able to do things that many kids are blessed enough to do. I hope that you will consider donating to Brock and his treatment.
