A Journey to Fullness Video Project

THE BACKGROUND
A few years ago we started noticing that many people who came to our church tours during our festival had some real interest in learning more about the Orthodox Christian Faith. We also noticed that many of our families had spouses that weren't Orthodox but wanted to learn more.
So, we began a series of informational classes that led several familes to embrace the Orthodox Faith and become members of our parish family!
THE RESULTS
As a result of this series in our own church, we’ve seen an average of 3-8 new convert families join our parish each year.
Currently there are several other Orthodox churches from as far away as Alaska and Australia who are using this approach.
What if we could multiply this informational effort on the internet, in parishes across the country, and by purposefully reaching out to our communities with a video tool anyone could use?
Well, we're trying to do just that.
THE PROJECT
"A Journey to Fullness" is a video-based teaching series designed to introduce the average person to the beauty and riches of the Orthodox Christian Church.
This series includes:
-20 fifteen minute videos on subjects from History to Orthodox Worship to Icons and the Incarnation!
-a student study guide
-a Facilitator's Guide
It’s our prayer that this series will enable any Orthodox parish or outreach group to have an effective tool to start the conversation with spiritually seeking people!
THE NEED
We want a product that is professional in every way to reflect the beauty of our faith. So we’ve assembled a team of professionals to make this project a reality. But doing so requires a significant investment of time and resources. (The video pilot on the website took an entire day to shoot and a few weeks to edit).
To make this project a reality, we have to raise $85,000.
