Operation Bowtie

Hi! My name is Nate and I am 12 years old from San Clemente California. I'd like to share with everyone my new venture "@operation_bowtie" I am currently in charge of our Make-a-Wish project at our school and in the past years I raised enough money to pay for 2 cleft lip surgeries with the help of my Grammies mahjong group. Rrecently I have been watching the news and what is going on in our world. I was talking to my mom and Dad and they asked me "What do you think you can do to make a difference?" I know I can't change the world right now, but who knows! I'd like to do my part and make a difference. I will be leaving for the Philippines next month and my mission is to bring a smile with style to the kids in the Philippines with @operation_bowtie. I have a very blessed life and am very lucky to have a roof over my head, shoes and clothes and a meal three times a day where some kids even here in America do not. We will be going to a couple of provinces where my grandparents are from but my mom said there are plenty of kids who do not even own a pair of shoes or the average family makes less then $2 a day. I'd like to do my part in helping by bringing bow ties made out of two $1 bills or converted would be 100 Philippine Pesos. What can you get with that? I did my research and you can get a good meal, rice, chicken a drink and dessert. Maybe new flip flops, a tshirt, school supplies. Unfortunately we don't have the means to bring big bulky items so this is the next best thing. I am hoping to start my mission here in the Philippines and then maybe other countries.
