New Hope for Prisoners

Donation protected
Our prisons are crowded, and most inmates are repeat offenders. The shocking reality is that 85% of those released from prison will return, usually within a year. But there is hope – inmates involved in a faith-based program are half as likely (45%) to return to prison.

To some, that’s reason enough to support programs like Onesimus Ministries , who place a full-time male chaplain, and a part-time female chaplain in Chester County Prison to minister to the predominantly male population of prisoners there.

But there is so much more at stake. Like where these folks will spend eternity – Heaven or Hell.  People in prison are at the lowest point in their lives. God has their attention, and can do marvelous things with a ready and accepting heart.

Chaplain Heinrich Botes and Chaplain Rhonda Soland meet with inmates every day – in personal counseling sessions, leading worship services and Bible studies - meeting the spiritual needs of the nearly 1000 inmates at Chester County prison.

Onesimus Ministries pays the salaries for these chaplain servants, and also funds materials for inmates (books, Bibles, hymnals, etc.).

Won’t you please consider coming alongside of us to support “the least of these”? It can mean the difference between life and death!

Thank you for your attention, and your kind support.  God bless you!
