Old Library Theatre (OLT), Fair Lawn Recreation Department’s resident theatre company, is a community theatre organization located in Bergen County, NJ committed to producing quality productions at an affordable price.

And did we mention we're NJACT's Community Theater of the Year for 2017!

Old Library Theatre was started in 1967 in Fair Lawn by a handful of dreamers who wanted to make the joy of theatre performance available to everyone. The original theatre was housed in a library on River Road, and several years ago moved to the George Frey Center for Performing Arts—a state-of-the-art 170-seat theater—in the Fair Lawn Community Center.

Our mission is to provide quality entertainment in Bergen County, showcasing talented performers of all ages, shapes, sizes, ethnicities, and stages of development.

2018 marks our 51st season and your donations will help fund all the creative components that help bring the magic of Broadway to Bergen County: costumes, props, set design, musicians and the continuation of our teen internship program.

Our stories will lift you up... Give you chills... Be a feast for your eyes... And, leave you rolling in the aisles. The world is our stage, and we'd love for you to join us!

Fir trees. Cinnamon. Gingerbread. These are the smells of the season.

Did you know Old Library Theatre kicked off its 1988 season with the Neil Simon play "The Gingerbread Lady"? Decidedly dark, it certainly wasn't full of holiday cheer and was quite the departure for the well known comedic playwright. But, 29 years ago, it brought joy to audiences at OLT.

As you wrap up your holiday shopping, won't you consider helping us bring more joy to audiences and continue to tell stories that reflect, and impact, all of our lives? No donation is too small -- or too big. 'Tis the season to celebrate and share!
