Ok, so here I go.
Ever since I was a tiny, asthma-riddled nerd, I wanted to be a writer. My parents even got me an electric typewriter for Christmas once. When anyone ever asks me what my dream job is, the answer is always the same: a writer. I don't aspire to be filthy rich, I'd just like to be able to eke out my living doing what I love.
I have an opportunity to go after my dream. Is it a risk? Yes. Is it worth it? To me, yes. I have had a publisher offer me a publishing deal, but it comes with a price. I need to pay a contribution of just over $5000, and I really don't want to let this opportunity pass by.
I've had a lawyer oversee the contract, and the publisher and I are already working together on the initial stages of publication.
It's not in my nature to ask for financial help, but it's either that, or watch my dream float out to sea, so here goes. Please, if you can spare a few bucks, I'd really appreciate it forever. Like, forEVER. Maybe if you aren't in a position to donate, you could share it?
I really do believe that what goes around comes around; I've seen good karma come my way over and again.
