Meal Cards for Reno's Homeless

Every year the City of Reno, the City of Sparks, and Washoe County participate in an annual count of homeless individuals in the Truckee Meadows.
This count is always held in the early morning hours when it's cold and many homeless individuals are sleeping on the streets.
Volunteers hand out "goodie bags" that usually consist of toiletries, handwarmers and candy, but this year we have a new idea. We would like to raise $1,000 to buy gift cards for hot meals to include in the bags.
If we accomplish this goal, we can get at least one hot meal to every homeless person we count.
Please help us in showing that this community cares about our homeless population. We need to complete this campaign by January 11, 2017!
