It's sad when someones soul has passed on earth, its heart breaking when the soul thats passed is someone you hold dear to you. Nino Mateo was more than a friend to a lot of us. He was a son. A brother. A best friend. A best friend so close to you that you considered them family. You know the saying 'blood is thicker than water'? The correct quote is 'blood of the covenant is thicker than water of the womb" and that is one hundred percent true. He not only had a heart bigger than his chest can hold but that same heart was beyond welcoming to every human he's crossed paths with. Nothing can ever come close to the friendliness that emitted off him. Always smiling, whether we were all being mischievous or just hanging out at lorel; where everything started. Growing up in Skokie, a lot of us knew lorel as a go to spot when we were younger. If we'd need a half way point it'd always be there, right under the shelter plotting the day and the days to come. Any and all who want to pay their respects to Nino is more than welcome to come by.

For anyone who won't make it, (which is totally understandable because it's early as hell in the morning on a Tuesday), I'll be planning a memorial for him at Lorel Park the following Sunday. Time is not set yet but we will come up with a time that would best suit everyone so us Lorel kids can get together one last time.

We would be very thankful for any kind of help. Our goal is to raise atleast $3,000 for the service. Thanks for the love and Prayers we already have recieved.
