First off, thank you so much for bothering to click on this link and reading my little blurb out to the world - it genuinely means so much to me that you're taking the time out of your day.
As many of you may know, I competed in the Miss Arkansas Teen USA pageant for four years in a row before moving to New York last year. Although I never won the title, I gained so many valuable skills and can honestly say I attribute pageantry to all of my successes thus far. Without it, I would never have gained the confidence in myself to push past my insecurities and apply/audition for college, internships, jobs, etc. Because of my enthusiasm for pageantry, I chose to continue pursuing the opportunities that come with it by competing for the title of Miss New York USA 2015 this January 17th-18th at The Performing Arts Center at Purchase College!
I'm really excited for this year in particular because I am finally competing as a Miss - meaning that if I win, I will be eligible to compete in the Miss USA pageant, which will be broadcast LIVE this June in the Bahamas. If I were to win Miss USA, then I would have the chance to compete for Miss Universe. Basically... It's a great opportunity for me to really kickstart my career as an Actress and Producer, from all the work I will be doing within the Miss Universe organization and all of the people I would meet throughout my reign.
Pageants are great. They're glamorous, fun, enriching, and... also expensive! My registration fees alone total up to $1795! That doesn't include a competition gown, swimsuit, interview outfit...etc. Fortunately I've been able to pay some of it off (I work three jobs), but it has not been easy, which is why I'm asking for your help.
Whatever amount of donation I receive - whether it's $1 or $100 - is tax deductible for the sponsor and every last penny is appreciated by yours truly.
