She is QAR and ate the canned food offered to her. Mod to severely dehydrated. mm pale pink, sl tacky, crt{2sec. Abd is gassy but nonpainful. HR=110. Parvo snap = faint positive. I am concerned for parvo and that she should leave the shelter today. Even if false positive her degree of dehydration and diarrhea would really benefit from being hospitalized. She is estimated to be 10 months old and is a sweetie so may be a good Lichter candidate.(8/17) Vet Check -- Est 10 mo FI pittie who is emaciated and mod dehydrated but did eat canned food. Poor BCS likely nutritional and parasitic but cannot r/o concurrent underlying disease. P may be at risk for refeeding syndrome so would like to start gradually. Tar will need to be groomed off but is not urgent. Will start refeeding chart.Behavior Observation: (8/18) Lifesaving -- friendly and social. Would stand up and come to kennel door when spoken to.
