Burial Costs for My Mother

I am not part of the Moore family but I am very close to the majority of them. When Tex approached me to ask about options they had I said I would take the initiative of setting up a Go Fund Me account. His parents deserve the respect and honor of being buried in a dignified manner. Unfortunately, the family does not have the funds to do so. Below is a letter the family came up with that I am including. Please give whatever you can.

 

     Because of our mom’s rapidly declining health condition the family had to start discussing the obvious subject of funeral arrangements. In doing so, we quickly discovered that our parents do not have life insurance and never purchased burial plots anywhere. We also discovered that since she is in NJ, Medicaid will not cover any portion of funeral or burial costs unless a burial plot has been purchased BEFORE death. Therefore, we are scrambling to purchase one immediately. The total cost of funeral and burial out of pocket is $2,870 per parent, totaling $5,740. Unfortunately, none of their children or grandchildren can afford to cover this cost. Your help will be greatly and forever appreciated.

 

     Any money donated that is not used for the burial will be donated back to charity to help others in need.
