The Missouri River Valley is an area rich in history and culture. The rolling hills, wineries and beautiful vistas between Defiance and Hermann have been a draw for visual and performing artists for decades. It's a place I call home, a place I want to make even better, and the reason I founded MoRAA.
The mission of the Missouri River Arts Alliance is to provide local visual and performing artists with a variety of tools to help them thrive and succeed. The MoRAA Artist Community is designed to help artists find other artists for collaboration and comradery, and for the general public to find local artists as well.
I have 2 goals for the organization:
1. For artists, I want to build a robust online community that facilitates communication and collaboration, and develop offline and online tools and events to help promote artists and the arts in general.
2. For supporters of the arts, I want MoRAA to become the most comprehensive source for arts and culture in the Missouri River Valley.
I've donated my time developing the concept, creating the branding and building the web-based community at www.MoRAA.org but I can't do it all on my own. I'm looking for others in the community that are as passionate about nurturing the arts and culture as I am to contribute whatever time or financial support they see fit.
