Milissa & Silvio Accident Recovery

Saturday March 18, 2017, Silvio was following his wife Milissa home on his motorcycle on a two lane Texas road. Suddenly a a vehicle turned left in front of him, obviously not seeing the bike and driver in the oncoming traffic lane. Milissa saw their life together change forever in that one glimse in the rear view mirror.
Silvio was airlifted to the trauma at The Medical Center of Plano. He was stabilized but found to have multiple fractures in his shoulder, fractures in his face, broken hips, pelvis, and more. The good news was that the internal injuries were not more extensive.
The next day it was discovered that the driver of the vehicle that hit Silvio had only minimal insurance.
After five days Silvio was able to be transported to a long term medical care facility, Baylor Reab in Frisco Texas. He requires full round the clock care until he is able to use a wheel chair. At that point he will start to learn to walk and bear weight. However that is a long ways down the road.
Silvio and Milissa have three boys, 15, 13, and 6. Milissa is a mom and also digital designer. Silvio is the sole sourse of ongoing income but as a successful financial manager was commision based. Therefore temporary disability is not available. Thankfully he does have accident insurance but between the lack of insurance for the driver at fault and the length of his recovery ahead, that will not cover the family or even close.
Mounting medical bills well beyond insurance, round the clock care, the monthly normal bills we all have, the care of the boys while Milissa is with Silvia 24/7, and then upon his release the modifications to their home and life, medical equiptment needed, along with long term physical therapy, will soon overwhelm the family.
If you are unable to donate a bit then perhaps if local, can help with the boys, drop off a meal when Silvio is released home, or just lend an ear when Milissa has a moment. The immediate need is cash flow as this will take some time to sort out yet bills still require payments.
