Restore Hope for my Brother Mike
A year ago today I finished an extensive remodel of this great house in Paradise, CA. It was my little brother Michael Thomson's dream house and situation, so we put together a plan to sell it to him as soon as we could clean up his credit. He moved in to the house with his wife and two dogs and worked extremely hard for months to save and do anything necessary to fix his credit so he could finance this house.
Finally, after all his hard work, everything had come together and we had a date to make the house his, but on that very same day, while my brother was at work, The Campfire came and destroyed the entire town of Paradise, CA ... including what was supposed to now be my brother's first house with everything they owned in it.
I have set up this GoFundMe in an effort to restore hope for my brother's future over the course of this next 6 months while this long process of restoration begins. No matter what comes of government help and restoring Paradise; these next 6 months are going to be brutal trying to rearrange a living situation and replacing all their essential belongings lost to the fire.
All they have are the clothes they wore to work on Thursday, Nov 8th, and their two dogs.
The funds raised from GoFundMe will go directly to purchase items that are needed to rebuild their lives and get them through this coming 6 months. Things we all take for granted such as a deposit to rent a small place, food, clothes, towels, wash clothes, blankets, sheets, pillows, personal hygiene items, home goods, etc.
Thank you in advance for your support. God Bless.
We are honestly running out of ways to say thank you. It is truly amazing to see so many of you being so incredibly generous and kind supporting my brother through this time. We have now cleared over 50% of our goal! Thank you all so much!!
We are overwhelmed with the amount of love and support our friends have given through this already. What a wonderful thing to watch such a tragic event bring out the most loving and hope inspiring actions from everyone around us; like Cara and Christa making a special visit to our family and so many around the community. So blessed.
