Mayo Clinic Complete Neuro Workup

Donation protected
We are coming together as a family to help our mom, Michelle Sanchez.  For the past three years she has been struggling with health problems.  She keeps getting diagnosed with issues related to neurological  conditions.  We have yet to find a neurologist that can find the "main  neurological diagnosis" causing all of the problems that she is experiencing neurologically.

Over the past nine months, our mom's health has been rapidly declining.  She uses a wheelchair now more than she uses her walker, has "episodes" where she loses control of her brain and motor functions, she falls alot and has recently had surgery to put in a permanent cathater in her abdomen so that her bladder will drain.  Mom's memory is impaired as well as her cognitive thinking process.  Now, we have found out that her autonomic system is in moderate failure.  She no longer drives and we never know what new challenge we will face each new day.

The Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota has finally given our mom an appointment to be seen.  We have been trying to get her seen there for over two years!  This is awesome news as her current doctors are describing our mom's condition as an "undiagnosed, rare, rapidly progressive neurological condition".

The reason we have started this page is because a visit to the Mayo Clinic is not a one day process.  Patient's can expect to be there from four to nine business days.  Our father is out of vacation days for the year.   Our parents will also have to stay in a hotel for whatever time is needed to complete this visit.   They will need help funding this trip, expences will include, unpaid work days for Octavio, hotel expences, food and anything else that may come up.

With our mom being out of work since 2014, due to her health, finances are already very tight.  Time is running short, the appointment is scheduled to start on August 30, 2017.  They can't afford to go; however, they can't afford not to go as our mother's health continues to decline.

If this story moves you in any way, please consider a donation and/or prayers.  Even the smallest monetary amount will help.  We want our mom to be with us as long as we can have her and as long as she has quality of life.  Please help us get the care our mother so  badly needs to be able to diagnose this rare neurological condition.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.  Please feel free to share with your family and friends, if you so desire.  God Bless you all!
