This Thanksgiving Michael Golds’ storage unit was broken into and emptied. It contained over $25,000 in music equipment and instruments, that he spent decades collecting. His gear was used for day-to-day work, as well as gatherings like the beloved “Golds’ Gulch” at Jazz Camp. He’s absolutely heartbroken about this.
Unfortunately, he did not have insurance on this equipment, and thought that a well-known storage company with relatively high security meant his possessions were safe. A hard lesson learned, and a tremendous blow. There is no way he can afford to replace it alone, as the stolen equipment was integral to his ability to make a living.
