Stage 4 Cancer Medical Bills & End of Life Support

The family of Mercedes Pickering is reaching out for help of any kind- Mercy was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer (Metastatic Carcinoma) which is believed to have started in the gal bladder and spread to her liver. Often times the diagnosis of both liver and gal bladder cancer is in the later stages when symptoms arise, so finding out this knowledge less than a month ago was very shocking, especially given her age of 54 years.
Mercy loved to cook and host parties and loved to spend time with her friends and family. Her pride and joy is her two beautiful daughters Jennifer Seidel and Karimah Hudson. Mercy is a native of the Philippines and her favorite thing was to spend time making amazing home cooked meals for her family and friends, if you've tried her egg rolls then you know what I mean! Most importantly, she gave lots of love and care to everyone around her.
She has always been a hard worker and was a rock at Taco Bell where she worked for 19 years in Loves Park, IL. She unfortunately lived in a toxic environment with her husband, who we have since removed Mercy from the situation and moved her to Baltimore, Maryland to live with her 24 year old daughter, Karimah.
She is getting cancer care at John's Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore and is currently in the ICU receiving medical attention. We ask all our friends and family and anyone who cares about this sweet woman and her family to please help with her medical bills and end of life cost. Mercy is not a candidate for surgery and palliative care is the recommended treatment option.
Her husband stopped paying for her life insurance without notifying her and there is nothing saved for a funeral or cremation. If there is any additional money left we will use it to spread her ashes in her hometown of Cebu, Philippines.
