Save our girl

The photo you see is of Mena the Great.  Mena has been part of our lives since 2011 after we lost our precious Great Dane of 12 years, Lightning. We believe Lightning 'sent' her to us so we could show her what love is.  We rescued her from a less than livable situation. She was kenneled most of her first year, and was never treated the way she should have been. She was also very afraid of men/males in general because of that living situation. Mena is a lady and is very elegant in her demeanor but she has personality for days. She enjoys walking with her Great Dane brother Mojo and she is the boss around the house for sure!

Sadly we have not been able to enjoy walks lately due to a confirmed diagnosis of osteosarcoma.  This type of cancern afflicts large breed canines in their older ages.   The diagnoses was confirmed today, May 21 so we need to act fast.  This type of cancer is terminal but is treatable.  She is otherwise very healthy and is a candidate for a SRS/SRT procedure but it is very expensive.  

Mena and I share a very special bond. I am devastated. We are devastated.  She does not deserve the hand she was dealt, but with your help we can help her enjoy her older age and in comfort.  PLEASE SHARE and donate if you can.
