On March 13th 2015, Martha was diagnosed with Mesothelioma, a cancer that unfortunately is so rare that only 1 in every 3,000 people have been found to have this. Throughout her life Martha enjoyed working at the Seabrook, NH Historical Society, she participated with the Lions Club and Grange. On Friday nights you could find her standing loud and proud cheering on the L&W Racing team. Family to her, was the most important thing in the world. The love she has for us, and her community is endless.
Every year she would walk side by side with team members of Seabrook On T.R.A.A.C. for the American Cancer Society. Starting many fundraisers on her own, and participating in the fundraisers of her team members. In the last 6 years she helped raise over $31,000.00 for the ACS.
When Martha was diagnosed with this Cancer we thought that we would have a couple months at least, to make future preparations. Unfortunately this Cancer is very fast acting and many members of our family have taken off time from our jobs, and daily routines to be here for our Mother/Sister/Aunt/Grandmother because she wishes to have everyone here by her side.
That being said we are struggling with finding the funds we need to give Martha the proper service that she deserves. Less than two months after the diagnosis we are having to say our goodbyes. We wish to hold a service and burial that is beautiful, just like she is! We fully understand that times are hard right now for everyone, and we appreciate more than words can describe every single donation given to our family. Even the pennies add up. Thank you so much for your time, prayers, donations, thoughts, and endless love.
