Adopt a kitten/Fix feral cats
Donation protected
I live in Oaklyn on Manor Ave and there is a colony of Feral Cats living in the woods by my house, and they have just had kittens! Over the last two years I have been working to catch and foster these kittens and find them homes, as well as Trap/Neuter/Release the adult feral cats in the colony to prevent the birth of more kittens as well as give them a longer, healthier life without the stresses of pregnacy and birth. So Far I have rescued 12 kittens and TNR'd 10 adult feral cats.
I am fostering the kittens through Homeward Bound Animal Shelter (previously Camden Cares) to get them the vet care they need. I am also working with The Animal Wellfare Association in Voorhees which has a program to capture and spay/neuter cats.
While both these programs offer low cost options, there are at least 8 more adult feral cats than need to be fixed, and currently 3 more kittens to catch, as well as 5 I currently have in foster care. I am setting a goal for $1000. Each capture/spay/release is $35, and I am currently paying for all food, litter, care, and other costs out of pocket for the rescued kittens. I have recently re-done my 4 season porch as a dedicated foster room to give them room to play, socialize and grow as well!
100% of the donations will go towards capturing, fixing, and adopting the kittens and cats, and any extra raised will be directly donated to the shelters I am working with or to help potential adoptive homes afford the adoption fee from the shelter I am working with. I keep all receipts so donors can see where their donations are going if requested
