Mama Made is in need of a blessing

I've never had sweet potato pie before so my husband decided to make his famous sweet potato pie for Thanksgiving. I tasted the pie and fell in love. I told him were going to sell his pie and he wasn't convinced that anyone would buy it. I told him If you can get me to eat this pie I know we could get others to try it. We decided to sell Easter baskets at the Alsip Swap "˜O' Rama two years ago and we took about 60 slices of pie with us just to try it out. No one was stopping by the table so we decided to open one of the pies and pass out free samples and the business just took off. We had a line around the corner waiting for our pie. We looked at each other smiled and decided to do this every weekend. Oh! I forgot to mention that we didn't sell not one Easter basket. We would offer people free samples of the sweet potato pie and they would say "I don't eat sweet potato" so that's how we started to sell other desserts like apple, cherry, blueberry pie, peach cobbler and banana pudding.

 My husband Carleton is known around town as the PIE GUY. He was so mischievous as a child his grandma used to make him stay in the kitchen with her and learn how to cook just to stay out of trouble. He had to pick peaches and apples from the garden out back and bake fresh pies for the people in the neighborhood as a child.  I call him a chemist not a baker because of his ability to create flavors.

We were able to find a location where's the owner is willing to work with our finances however we will need assistance with purchasing some equipment, cleaning and a minor remodeling.
