We are looking for funding to help Dope Male Performance Company progress in 2017/18.
Dope Male Performance Company has been running since 2012 & are currently working hard to push through to the professional Dance circuit creating Hip-Hop Theatre pieces. They receive free training every week & various free opportunities throughout the year with industry professionals.
We aim to get more males off the streets & out of their homes & encourage them to take part in an activity. We provide an environment where the boys can be themselves & nurture them whilst they can dance alongside other male role models. Both our groups get the opportunity to perform at regional & national platforms across the UK. Have taken workshops with massive names within the Dance industry & get to see performances from companies who inspire them.
Dope Development are a legacy project that has emerged from DMPC & has been running since October 2015. The group has been training hard for the past year & are hoping to perform at various youth platforms throughout 2017/18. The boys from this group will eventually progress through to our performance company where their training becomes free & they can start to get a taste for professional dance.
