Make Alli's Wish!
The Salem High School Marketing class has adopted Alli, a Make-A-Wish child. Alli's wish is to go to Disney World for the first time and be a princess! She just turned 6 this January, but she has been battling cancer for the majority of her young life. Our goal isn't just to send Alli to Disney World but to make her forget that she's sick and simply be a child.
What We Need
Our initial goal was $7000. With the help from our community, we now only need $1600!!
The primary medium of fund raising is through our school store, the Blue Devil Cafe. We sell "Make Alli's Wish" bracelets along with other Make A Wish merchandise. Every Friday is "Alli Friday", and all proceeds go to the fund. The problem? Staff and students can only spare so much.
We have until the end of May to raise the funds. Crazy, right? NOT WITH YOUR DONATION!!!
The Impact
Ultimately, you're putting a smile on the face of a little girl. This is a girl whose hair is just starting to grow back after having treatment for brain tumors. This is a girl who when we met her for the first time melted our hearts and told us, "I have cancer. But it's okay." With your help, we can make it better than okay. Let's send her to Disney so she can meet her favorite princess, Snow White, so she can feel like a princess herself.
Alli is the marketing program's third Make A Wish child. The quickest time we raised the funds before was three months. This year, we adopted Alli a bit later than we had adopted our children in the past. Now, it's crunch time!
