THE MTA of USA’s APPEAL TO CITIZENS OF THE WORLD AND THE OROMO DIASPORA TO ASSIST OROMO VICTIMS OF LIYU POLICE RAIDS:
The "Liyu Hayil" Police, Ethiopian-Somali militiamen known for terrorizing and killing innocent civilians, have more recently conducted attacks in the East, South-East, South, South-West, and other parts of Oromia, resulting in the deaths and injuries of hundreds. Village after village is being raided on a daily basis, thousands are fleeing their homes, and hundreds of innocent civilians are being killed in cold blood.
The picture above is of Mohammed Abdullahi, who was killed a couple of weeks ago in East Hararghe, Qarsa district, Qufanzig village. Mass protests against the bloodshed are underway, and it is likely that innocent protestors and civilians will be targeted again. The violence of the Liyu police is just another extension of TPLF/EPRDF regime's violence and terror tactics against the Oromo people.
At this moment, humanitarian assistance and medical services are desparately needed for those who have been injured by the Liyu and for the families of those who have been killed. Many are in desperate need for shelter, food, medicine and other necessities for survival. Governments around the world are currently remaining silent about providing humanitarian aid to Oromo victims of Ethiopian state financed violence, so it is the responsiblity of concerned citizens of this world and the Oromo diaspora to become agents of humanitarian assistance. The leadership of the Macha-Tulama Association, USA, appeals to you to provide whatever you can to this humanitarian fund for the victims of Liyu police raids.
