Help Luccia Walk Again & Heal from Lyme Disease
Luccia hasn't walked for nearly 3 months and has been diagnosed with late stage Lyme Disease and post viral Encephalomyelitis, a daunting diagnosis. We are asking for your help since this might be a 2-6 year journey to heal Luccia and beyond our family's financial capabilities.

Lyme Disease Is A Thief, it has stolen Luccia's ability to run, do gymnastics, do cartwheels, and to be able play with friends. But not her love for it…she just can’t do what she loves most of the time. She can't do circus this year – her favorite thing to do. This is the purest form of torture and the worst part of this disease. It takes away your abilities and leaves you still wanting to do all the things you love! You still love what you love, you just can’t do it anymore!

Suddenly her world has changed from being a happy go lucky girl who performed in the circus and joked with her friends to a world where she is in constant riveting pain with migraines around the clock, stomach pains, inflammation throughout her body, debilitating fatigue, vertigo, and painful shocks running up and down her spine.

Besides losing her independence, and being in round the clock pain, Luccia is needing to re-learn basic concepts like counting and ABC’s, she deals with short term memory loss, hearing that comes and goes with no notice leaving her in a world of silence, speech that is slurred and difficult to understand, difficulty chewing and swallowing as well as not being able to hold a spoon, a pencil, or her knitting needles, and joints that sometimes lock and freeze in contortions that require hours of massage to relieve.

Luccia needs your help, Lyme Disease and it's co-infections are an expensive journey, in only a couple of months we have spent thousands and thousands of dollars and have only scraped the surface of what Luccia needs to be whole again, healthy, walking, and a joyous 9 year old!

Please realize that only 50% of the people in the United States that have Lyme Disease test positive for either the ELSA or Western Blot test, so nearly all of Luccia's expenses must be paid out of pocket.

Luccia's Partial Wish List-Please take these monthly amounts and factor the cost for 2-6 years:

$450-$700- an hour for Lyme doctor appointments
$400-$600- a month for supplements & antibiotics not covered by insurance
$200-$1700 quarterly- Ongoing Testing for Lyme & Co-infections
$30-$35- an hour in home physical therapy
$20,000-$30,000 Stem Cell Transplant from her own stem cell harvest
$1200 Ozone Therapy machine to improve immune system & help flush dead spirochetes from her body
$350 a session for hyperbaric oxygen therapy to help repair brain cells & immune system
$2,500-Outdoor stair lift and installation-they live on the second floor
$800-Two Wheelchair Tailgate Carriers installed
$2,500-$6,000-All Terrain Light Weight Wheelchair-we live in the country & currently lift a 57 pound wheelchair to transport Luccia
$35-$45 an hour Respite Care by a nurse that can give medication & intervene in medical situations
$3,500- Bone Conduction Hearing Aid-to help Luccia hear
$70- an hour Tutoring to bring Luccia back up to 2nd grade level, currently performing at kindergarten level
$6795- Portable Wheelchair Climber-we live on a hill & to have access to most of the property Luccia must make her way down dozens of steps and back up again
