Why Should You Donate To My Fundraiser Specially When There So Many Heart Breaking Worthy Causes?
This is a very tough question. I honestly can not give you an answer. I know that even though I do need a helping hand and that I have fallen on hard times. There are so many people out there that are dealing with things no human being should ever have to deal with.
I will start from the beginning. My name is Laurie and I am married with five kids and three grandsons. My husband and our three younger children were living in a small Northren Community. My husband had a good paying job and I was also working life was good. Then after 16 years my husband lost his job no fault of his own and all of a sudden we had to make a choice to move to the city. We couldn't afford to get all our stuff moved on the 18hr haul, so we just rented a 6x12 trailer and took what we could and we had to give alot of stuff up. We were very nervous but we figured we would both find good jobs here in the city, and we would beable to bounce back quickly. Well it didn't really work out that way.
We moved here in August and my husband did find a job right away. It was for alot less pay but it was a job. Unfortunately it was only seasonal. So my husband was laid off Nov 4th. It took over four weeks for him to receive E.I. I was also able to find a job as a waitress but it is only part time hours. My husband has been looking for a job everyday but as we know this time of year isn't so easy. We have been living off my part time income and we are drowning in bills. I already didn't know how I was going to get the everyday necessities and pay bills and rent and Christmas. This alone has caused alot of fear and stress, But then to top it off, I broke my denture's and because they are over 20 years old they can not be fixed. Dentures cost alot of money and I have no help paying for them and I have to have them to work, to eat and just to beable to smile.
