On Wednesday, September 24th, 2014, Marti and I will be finally getting married! This will mark our 9th Anniversary together!
If you know us, then you know we are extraordinary. To keep up with our awesomness, the day after we get married we will be traveling to Japan to spend two weeks on our dream honeymoon.
During our stay we plan on visiting a few of the following awesome locations:
Kokedera Moss Forest: A scared forest untouched by human hands for over 600 years.
Akihabara: The Electronic City. Known for its colorful denizens and towering buildings with multiple floors of video games and rare electronic goods.
Tomo-no ura: The city which Hayao Miyazaki based one of our favorite movies off of, "Ponyo". His movies are one of the many things that we have strongly bonded over during the last 9 years.
Using airbnb.com for room and board, we will be staying with locals wherever we travel. We look forward to meeting new people and hope to find local delicacies and hang-outs. Most of our traveling will be by foot, train, and bike with the occassional boat ride down one of Japan's beautiful rivers and waterways.
We will be leaving on the 25th of September and returning on October 10th. There are several other places we will be visiting as our travels cover Kyushu, Kyoto, Osaka, and Tokyo. If you have any great tips, locations of your favorite places, or any helpful information you think we should know while In Japan, please get in touch with us!
