Support Lotte Wilms Win Olympic Gold

$4,755 of $100,000 goal

Raised by 25 people in 10 months
Dear family & friends,

I would like to ask you a personal favour. As most of you know, I am currently training hard to win Olympic gold at the Triathlon in Japan 2020. Triathlon combines my elite swimming background, my family history of naturally powerful bike riding endurance and recent track record of proven running ability.

I have already been selected by the Dutch Triathlon Federation to represent Holland in the International Triathlon Union, World cup and I am currently in the top 400 globally and 10th for Holland. For selection in the Olympics I need to be at least 140 in the world and compete well in 7 of the 12 international selection events this year (from starting June in Holland) and another 7 out of 12 next year.

I am 100% confident I can do this and look forward to this amazing journey. It will take hard work and endurance, great coaching, and competing at all the critical global championships to get me to the selection for Japan.

And that is where I would like to ask for your support. To help raise enough money for the required coaching and the ability for me to participate at those key championships.

Donations from as little as a few dollars to bigger sponsorships promoting your business are all very welcome.

Also, to make it even more attractive to donate, Chris Walker is personally committing one month of free coaching with him for everyone who donates more than $500. You can use this month as a gift to someone you think could benefit from this. In this way, donating to my Olympic journey will help to open even more hearts.

Looking forward to hear from you,

Lotte Wilms

ps. In case you happen to have spare frequent flyers miles you could donate - that would be more than appreciated as well. Just send me a message.

Last week I was back at World level and this time all the way in South Korea at the World Cup. I felt so blessed to race again to the best triathlon women in the world.

I came first out of the water and stayed in the first group on the bike. I couldn’t be more proud to archive this. My transitions where not that great but a good learning to bring in my next race. Overall I came 26th only 2 min behind the winner and first Dutch of the day.

This day was a result of hard work, self belief, love and friendship.

A little update about my last 4 months:

I came back from Europe with a luggage full of experience but also I was diagnosed with a stress fracture on my right foot. A big challenge to overcome in my triathlon career. My focus was small improvements every week. My mantra was: what can I do today that I didn’t could do last week. It took patience but I went from not even getting out of the house without a walking boot for 4 weeks to slowly swimming without tumble turning or kicking my legs to bike riding without getting out the seat to an alter G treadmill and finally back on the track and racing.

My biggest love and supporter Chris who drove me from doctor appointments to swimming pools, setting up my bike trainer, carrying my bags, helped me turn every doubt thought into an opportunity, reminded me over and over to be happy with life as it is, to be grateful for what I got, let me believe in myself and kisses my tears away was the best medicine of love and helped me overcome my frustrations. Next to Chris I had some great support from close friends, family, coach and doctors.

Next week I will race in Japan, Miyazaki to be at my best. I will race again to the best women of the world in my first Olympic distance at a World Cup.

Thank you for all your donations. It means a lot to me.
