Lombok Earthquake Village Destroyed

It’s been a month since destruction hit this beautiful Island.

***Monday 20th August - Lombok was struck by a SECOND earthquake in 12 HOURS. This one measuring 6.9 hit just after midnight, 12 hours after the 6.3 hit at lunch time yesterday Sunday 19th August. ***
Another earthquake has hit Lombok this afternoon, Sunday the 19th of August.... The Strong 6.3-magnitude earthquake could be felt in the island's capital Mataram.. These beautiful people NEED OUR HELP.. Please Donate to our Campaign..

We have been fortunate to know Ishak and his family for nearly 15 years, visiting them every 2-3 years. On Sunday we were sharing photos of our children together on What's App and on Monday morning we received a message from Ishak to say his precious home and village has all but been destroyed by this terrible earthquake.
We met Ishak selling T-shirts on the beach at Sengiggi to support his family. We struck up a friendship with him and he became our tour guide for the rest of our trip.. that was back in 2003.. We have kept in contact with him and his family all this time.
He is still selling T-shirts on the beach but the difference now is when we go back we are now all one Big Family. We help out when times are tough for them. We took the commitment to sponsor his son Thorik through school as one day he would like to be a Policeman.
But this, I’m afraid, is bigger than anything my husband and I can do alone..
We need your help DESPERATELY PLEASE.
The homes in his village have been destroyed. His own home has major cracks in the walls and collapsed roof and has been declared unsafe. They have lost 7 people in his village to the 3 Earthquakes with many injured. Their community have set up Camp close to their Old Village. This is their NEW HOME for who knows how long. The aftershocks continue. They are very scared , especially the children.
We are raising funds to provide them the basic necessities like food, water, something comfortable to sleep on, a roof over their heads, medicines, cooking aids, toiletries, learning books for the children as their is no school forecast in the near future and we need your help NOW please.
We have a bank account already set up in Mataram. The funds go directly to them.
Ishak’s livelihood depends on the tourists to feed his family. This earthquake has all but destroyed that for him and the people of Lombok.
