Lois’ Best Life

This woman has touched so many lives, and in doing so, has tried to help me become a better person. At 91, the rigours of life have started to take their toll. Right now, she lives in Edmonton, Alberta. It is our hopes to be able to move her to where I live, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and continue supporting her, while being closer in the event of a medical emergency. In short, we want to bring our small family close together. While some know her through numerous Facebook posts and photos, those show the best moments. What go unseen are the challenges of an aging person. She has many needs, and one of the most costly is a new place to live. Moving her to a new province also comes with expenses, and frankly, she deserves the very best. A lot of fundraisers on this site are to help make dreams come true. In this case, the ask is to give a woman who has done so much, some of the simple pleasures so she can live a life of ease, for as long as she can. These funds will cover: - Initial rent/deposits and moving expenses - A new raising chair to help her get up (an increasing struggle) - Any other mobility aides as determined by her new doctor - New support stockings (an ongoing expense) - Extra home care until coverage takes over - All remaining money will be used towards an escorted trip to Abbotsford, British Columbia, where she will visit her great grandchildren.
