Since 2011 Live 2 Serve has been serving the Baton Rouge Community. Live 2 Serve reaches out to those in poverty through various programs to help children escape with faith, education, and fun. By hosting over 4000 student volunteers from local high schools and colleges each year, Live2Serve offers a unique opportunity for them to better themselves as Christians and serve those in need.
We are hosting our annual Christmas Giveaway on December 17, 2017 at John Parker Coliseum on LSU’s campus. For the past six years this event has been a huge success and we are excited to be hosting it again. Since 2011 Live 2 Serve has aimed to bring Christmas toys to children in need in Baton Rouge. We have accomplished this mission successfully each year. The first few years the giveaway was held at our building located at 1735 Thomas h. Delpit Drive until it was moved to the John Park Coliseum on LSU’s campus due to increasing attendance. Each year Live 2 Serve begins collecting Christmas toys in November. Students, ranging from elementary school to college raise all toys. Live 2 Serve seeks to raise awareness in children and young adults of their ability to serve their neighbors. We aim to teach young people to become aware of their blessings and learn how to use them to serve those who may be less fortunate. In years past we have raised thousands of toys to reach our goal of ensuring that every child in Baton Rouge receives a Christmas toy. To achieve this goal we host an event where children can come and pick out a Christmas Toy, enjoy a Christmas Carnival filled with games and activities, and learn the true meaning of Christmas in listening to the story of Christ’s birth.
In 2016 Live 2 Serve spent $4,000 to put on the Christmas giveaway. This money went towards obtaining security, renal agreement, carnival games, and other items for the giveaway. Each year we do a fundraiser to help pay for the event. For the past two year the event has been fully paid for by the fundraiser. This year we are hoping to raise even more! Our goal is $15,000 and we are hoping that you can help us reach that goal. This amount was determined with the idea that the extra funds we raise can go towards the events we hold for the rest of the year for our children and students we serve. In becoming one of our corporate sponsors you will be enable Live 2 Serve to hire more staff members to reach out to our children, provide for better equipment for our children to play with, bring back our art program, and help us afford a bus for more student outings with the children.
We have also listed out some of the incentives and benefits that your company can enjoy should you decide to become one of our corporate sponsors see website Sponsorship Levels. Regardless of the amount you choose to give, your company name will be included in our event program and the press release that we will publish on our website. We are accepting monetary donations as well as in-kind donations of goods or services. Please feel free to make a contribution that you are comfortable with. We offer different levels of sponsorship (see the attached Sponsorship Levels Document) so that you can find the giving level that is right for your company.
