Precious baby girl, Joanna, passed away Monday, May 28, at Children's Hospital from a choking incident. Our hearts and love go to her entire family.

Joanna adored her parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, and great-great-grandma.

Joanna giggled and laughed all the time.  Pink and Yellow were her favorite colors. Blowing raspberries is a favorite memory we have of her.  Another is how she wriggled her nose and smiled when she was in a teasing mood.  Joanna was a bubble of joy.  She was the happiest little girl who reached out to anyone who smiled at her.  We will all miss her dearly.

With such an unexpected chain of events, Joanna's parents, Bobbi and Adam Dunn, do not have the funds to cover Joanna's funeral expenses and find it difficult to pay her medical bills.  We are asking you to help us raise funds for the family.

You can safely make a donation here on Go Fund Me. You may also send a donation directly to People's Funeral Home, 8340 US Highway 27, Butler, KY 41006.

It's been a while since I posted an update on Baby Joanna's Final Expenses. We are near the finish line when it comes to the amount needed to completely pay the bills for Adam and Bobbi. We are so grateful for everyone who donated to the funeral expenses and to the emergency care for their precious little angel.

Bobbi and Adam have their good days - and of course difficult bad days. When the living move forward, Adam returned to work, Olivia was born, it seems like the pace of life should return to "normal." Bobbi is with lovely Olivia and caring for her every day, as is Adam. Their love for her is strong. Again, to those of us standing outside, life moves on. But for this wonderful family, it moves on in a new kind of way. There is always that moment when grief washes over in unexpected ways. Sadness, anger, confusion, questions, and overwhelming feelings only they can know, come like waves of the sea. There are no rules. There is no time limit on grief.

Please keep their entire family in your prayers. Healing hearts is God's work. We know that their faith is strong. God is with them.

SO ARE WE! Send notes. Give a call. Let them know you do not forget both their sorrow and their joy. Our love will buoy them up in ways we may not know or understand. It is important.

We are still about $400 from our goal of having all the bills paid for them. The remaining amount covers the ambulance and air care fees. If you are interested in helping and haven't had a chance to make a donation, please know the fund remains open for you to give in any manner you see fit.

Time has passed since I made an update, so I thought I would share where we are in our fundraising efforts for Bobbi and Adam.

First of all, THANK YOU! to everyone who has generously donated to help this wonderful family. We were able to pay all of the funeral expenses, which is a wonderful gift we could give.

There remain some outstanding bills for the ambulance services and air care. That bill was nearly $1500. Therefore, I am making a final shout out to anyone who wishes to make a donation. Our goal is an additional $500. This amount will take us to our goal of paying for all of Joanna's Final Expenses.

Blessings to you! Again, Thank you!

Dear Friends,

I would like to report that enough donations were made to cover the cost of Joanna's funeral. The love for Bobbi and Adam has been overflowing. I visited with them Sunday, June 17, and met their new and equally precious daughter, Olivia Grace. She is beautiful. Their strength continues to be inspirational. They hold fast to the promise of their faith and know God continues to uphold them completely.

Concerns do remain, nonetheless, about pending costs. Air Care was summoned to assist Joanna. Two ambulances and other emergency services were provided, as well as, expenses from the hospital. Thus, we will endeavor to do our best to raise additional funds to help the Dunn family meet these obligations.

We will continue to post updates to keep you apprised. If you have any questions or wish to know more about the GoFundMe account, please feel free to contact me via email.

One amazing week. God is good. Baby Olivia Grace and her parents Bobbi Jean Dunn and Adam T. Dunn were able to go home today! Pray that Olivia has a peaceful temperament so Mommy and Daddy get a bit of rest. They have been in an amazing whirlwind of the greatest challenges. We must not forget their story. If you feel moved to donate so we support them in their steadfast life please do. We have raised $3630. I'm so hoping to get to at least $6400 to pay for all the funeral expenses for little Joanna. God is Good in Mercy & Grace.
